Car Crash Lands Into Popular Doughnut Spot In Maryland During Morning Commute

A driver missed the drive-thru on Thursday morning and accidentally crash-landed into the side of a popular breakfast shop in Prince George's County.

One person suffered minor injuries shortly after 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30 after crashing a Honda into the side of Laurel Tavern Donuts in the 100 block of Washington Boulevard in Laurel.

It is unclear what caused the driver to crash the Honda into the building.

Officials say that there was moderate damage to the building and the driver was taken by paramedics to an area hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The crash caused some traffic delays on Route 1 during the morning commute as the area was cleared and the investigation continued.
